Stand’s letter to potential financiers of the Tilbury LNG terminal
The expansion of the Tilbury LNG terminal in Delta B.C. could have devastating impacts on nearby communities, critical habitat for marine life, and our climate. It would also slow down the transition towards truly safe and sustainable alternative energies.
Building out more LNG infrastructure doesn’t make sense in a world transitioning away from fossil fuels.
Thankfully, the Tilbury LNG expansion plan is far from a done deal — it needs to show it has financial support.
That’s why we sent a letter to financiers explaining to them why Tilbury is a bad bet.
You can see the letter here.
