In October, it was announced that Standard Chartered is replacing Crédit Agricole as financial advisor for the Rovuma LNG project in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. Crédit Agricole pulled out of the project in March 2024.

Deutsche Bank

Germany

Deutsche Bank was among those receiving a petition signed by more than 50,000 individuals, asking major commercial banks not to underwrite any more bonds offered by Indonesian coal developer PLN.

ANZ

Australia

BankTrack and partners submitted a complaint to ANZ's in-house grievance mechanism, alleging that the bank did not conduct adequate human rights checks when deciding to finance Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). PLN plans to expand coal power until 2034, despite the severe public health impacts linked to its coal power plants.

Raiffeisen Bank International

Austria

The Austrian Finance Minister has no plan to take action on alleged sanctions breaches by RBI's Russian subsidiary. BankTrack will be requesting that the Austrian National Bank take action.
