Energy security for whom? The interests of SNAM and Intesa Sanpaolo in the business of liquefied natural gas
On the 24th of February 2022, the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine. To break free from the dependence on Russian gas coming via pipelines, the governments chose to feed different addictions and show their loyalty to the agenda of energy corporations and financial institutions. In Italy, this business finds its main sponsors in Intesa Sanpaolo and Italian energy infrastructure company Snam.
