OTP Bank's largest shareholder is Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Group (8.57%). The bank's complete shareholder structure can be accessed here.

OTP Bank was established in 1949 and is Hungary's largest commercial bank, mainly operating in Central and Eastern Europe. The Bank provides banking and other financial services to both retail and corporate customers. Its subsidiaries specialize in car leasing, investment funds and insurance.

In May 2023 Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Agency (NAZK) placed OTP Bank Group on its list of “international war sponsors” for its continued cooperation with Russia.
