IDBI Bank is majority-owned by the Indian state via the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). The bank's shareholder structure can be accessed here.

The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) was established in 1964 by an Act of Parliament to provide credit and other financial facilities for the development of the fledgling Indian industry. It is owned by the government of India. The bank's main objective is to provide financial assistance to industrial enterprises. The bank offers financial products and services such as deposits, loans, payment services and investment solutions.
