PermataBank is a subsidiary of BangKok Bank, which owns 98.71% of the shares.

PermataBank is an Indonesian commercial bank which was founded in 1954. After several mergers the bank was taken over in 2004 by Standard Chartered and PT Astra International. In December 2019, one of Thailand's largest financial groups, Bangkok Bank, announced plans to acquire majority ownership of Bank Permata through a sale and purchase agreements with Astra International and Standard Chartered Bank. In May 2020 Bangkok Bank acquired PermataBank, eventually owning 98.71% of its shares.
