Join Urgewald for a high-level panel during London Climate Week on what continues to drive climate action in the finance industry.

The panel will include Günther Thallinger, Allianz SE Board Member, Laurence Pessez, Global Head of Corporate Sustainability at BNP Paribas, and Heffa Schücking, Founder and Director of Urgewald. It will be moderated by Hugh Wheelan, financial journalist and co-founder of Responsible Investor.

Together, they will explore the positive steps Allianz and BNP Paribas have taken on climate change, with a particular focus on how both institutions are moving parts of their business away from fossil fuels. The conversation will examine what each organisation has done, why these decisions were taken, and what the experience has been since implementation, including internal and external reactions and financial implications.

Following the panel, canapés and a networking reception will round off the evening.

The audience will include journalists, foundations, policymakers, representatives of financial institutions and NGOs.
