Triodos Bank is a Dutch social-ethical bank that finances companies, institutions and projects that add cultural value and benefit people and the environment, with the support of depositors and investors who want to encourage corporate social responsibility and a sustainable society. Triodos Bank was founded in 1980, after its predecessor the Triodos Foundation, which was established in 1971.
Triodos Bank operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, United Kingdom and Germany, with different emphasis in business areas in each country. The core activities of Triodos are: Personal and business banking (In the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany), Investment management - impact investing and socially responsible investment (Europe, Emerging Markets) and Private banking (the Netherlands, Belgium).
