Founded in 1905, Banco Galicia is one of the largest private sector banks in the Argentine financial system and a leading financial services provider in the country. As a universal bank, Banco Galicia offers, through affiliated companies and a variety of distribution channels, a full spectrum of financial services to over 4.2 million customers, both individual and corporate. Banco Galicia is on of the first Latin-American banks to adopt the Equator Principles.

Banco Galicia and the Equator Principles
The Equator Principles are a voluntary commitment of banks to try to avoid or minimise the social, environmental and human rights impact of projects they finance. For more information on the Equator Principles see their website here and the campaign page of BankTrack here.
The Equator Principles exist already since 2003. Banco Galicia adopted the Equator Principles in 2007.
