About Absa Bank Limited
Absa Bank Limited was founded in 1991 in Johannesburg South Africa. Until 2013 it was a wholly owned subsidiary of Absa Group Limited. On July 31st 2013 Absa Group Limited and Barclays' African operations were combined to form Barclays Africa Group Limited. The group is one of Africa's major financial services provider. Absa Bank provides a range of retail, business, corporate and investment banking and wealth management products and services to customers in primarily South Africa and Namibia.
