Market Forces believes that the banks, superannuation funds and governments that have custody of our money should use it to protect - not damage - our environment.

Our vision is a future where institutions invest with a high degree of respect for the environment, utilising our money to deliver solutions to major environmental issues, and where the community holds to account the custodians of their money to ensure it is used to benefit the environment.

Our work will expose the institutions that are financing environmentally destructive projects and help Australians hold these institutions accountable. We will work with the community to prevent investment in projects that would harm the environment and drive global warming.

Market Forces is 100% volunteer run, which means more than the people running this project doing it only for the sake of the cause. It also means when you donate to support Market Forces, more of that money goes straight into campaigns to prevent environmentally harmful investment.

ANZ and environmental concerns clearly don't mix...
Jan 19, 2015 - ANZ is Australia's biggest lender to fossil fuel projects and at their 2014 annual general meeting, the bank's disdain towards shareholders' concerned about climate change and environmental issues was on display. Check out this sample of Chairman David Gonski skirting around shareholders' questions about the environmental, social and economic risks of financing fossil fuels, and even telling one customer that ANZ has nothing to do with LNG projects on Curtis Island in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area when their involvement has been widely reported.
