| Sinking History - Turkey Aug 23, 2010 - An ancient village in Hasankeyf, Southeast Turkey, is in danger of being submerged under 30 metres of water due to a new dam, leaving five thousand people homeless and destitute.

Most of the inhabitants work as traders, civil servants and farmers that rely on the land.
