National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) are the largest electricity producer in India. Their total installed capacity, including that under joint ventures, is close to 30,000 MW. 82% are coal-fired plants and 18% gas-fired. NTPC accounted for 28.5% of the total power generation in India in 2007.
